Fall 2008
Summer is coming to an end
and we would like to thank everyone for a fun and very successful show
season. The fall brings busy schedules for all of us so it is time to
start planning accordingly. This is a good time to get a lesson and
training plan organized with your instructors so we can attempt to
minimize ring congestion and maximize horse and rider potential. It is
also good to set up a meeting in the next couple weeks to discuss goals
for the next six months; we want everyone’s winter to be productive and
fun.

2 most prestigious equitation finals for junior riders in the United
States and are a big accomplishment for Brittany and Blitz.
The 16th annual
Folly Farm Classic is rapidly approaching. It will be held the weekend
of October 4th and 5th. In addition to our usual
Classic Classes, this year we have added an Extreme Equitation on the
Flat class. This should be a fun and exciting addition to our Classic!
Also if you haven’t already, it’s not too late to reserve your table
under the VIP tent. Watch the boards in the barn for more news about
this year’s classic.
The Folly Farm
Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Team is gearing up for a
new year. Sue and Becca welcome our returning riders, as well as a few
new ones! If you are interested in doing the IEA team, but haven't
spoken with either of the coaches, time is running out! IEA rules
mandate that all applications and waivers be in their office as early as
4 weeks before the first show you go to. IEA is a great opportunity to

meeting. Also, this year we are teaming up with Woodstock Acres to host
2 IEA shows here at Folly. The first show is scheduled for Nov.2, the
second (tentatively) scheduled for March 8th. Every team member will be
required to pitch in. See Sue or Becca ASAP so you don't miss out.
